This Saturday I had the chance to do a four hour Wim Hof workshop. It was an amazing experience in case you’re thinking about trying it. Hof is a guy who’s scaled Mt. Everest in just a pair of shorts and a shirt and taught himself how to resist cold through his breathing technique. I saw him live at Tony Robbins’s Unleash the Power Within event in November and had been wanting to see him since so I was thrilled to meet him.
The workshop began with an hour talk by Wim. His microphone was unfortunately messed up so much of what he said was unclear. We then did his breathing technique which was incredible. My whole body was tingling and I felt amazing. We then we did his technique again along with a warm-up before jumping in the ice bath. Jumping in the ice bath was an interesting experience. First, it was COLD. I had never done one before and incorrectly assumed it was no big deal. Second, I LOVE HEAT. I’m someone who handles extreme heat well, cold, not so much. I did the technique and mentally I felt great even though my body was convulsing. Check out my video to see what I mean! Overall, Hof’s workshop was an awesome experience and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to take their health to the next level.
